ahahathis is great. This patient made my day. The paramedics brought in this patient who had been found unconscious under a bridge. He was awake when they brought him in and the first thing he said after I walked into the room was that I was the most beautiful doctor he had ever seen. Lol never mind he was drunk off beer and mouthwash! It certainly made my day however. Cant help laughing every time I think of him.= )

Fun stuff last week. First off I decided to take a couple days of PTO for a little break and to refresh myself. We went to the Green Day concert last Wednesday, had a lot of fun and the music was awesome. Only bad thing was that Jimmy Eat World only played 30 minutes and I really enjoy their music and wished they had played for a little bit longer. Also they kept running out of t-shirts that I wanted. :( So I ended up having to settle. No cameras were allowed so I don't have any pics really except this one that was taken for us there at the concert and a few on my cell phone that I'll take a look at later to see if they're even worth trying to post.

Im not sure what it is but I couldn't see myself as a ER doc for all my life. Sure the lifestyle is great but I prefer the limited structure of an office schedule I think and being able to expect whats coming through the door next. Also I think just the typical quality of er patients are a turn off. It seems like 10% of the patients are true emergencies if even that many. 50% want some kind of pain medication and the rest have a minor medical problem... And then want pain meds lol.
Ugh I had one patient earlier today that I had to hold my breath while in the room... I actually started to get nauseated from the smell after a while. Lol oh the trials and tribulations!
